The Cross
When I look at the cross, so much do I see.
Not merely wood;
But salvation for you and me.
I see love like none has known,
Until Jesus came to earth.
Until upon that cross He died.
Oh what love that day was birthed.
I see forgiveness on that cross,
For the things we say or do.
When we don't obey God's word,
And don't listen to Him too.
Obedience is there.
Jesus came from His home on high.
Just because He loved us so,
He hung and bled and died.
The cross holds mercy too.
We don't deserve His love.
God sees all that we do.
But He still sent us His son.
There's beauty in that cross.
The beauty of Jesus' blood.
The cleansing saving power,
Sent from God above.
